
INDUSTRY: LOGISTICS
LOCATION: MOROGORO
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client in the Logistics Industry, is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Cashiers (3) who will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, handling client payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team to ensure smooth operational processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, record, and process all cash and cheque payments from clients and partners.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile daily cash collections and prepare timely reports for submission to the Finance/Accounts department.
- Maintain a safe and organized cash office, ensuring all cash handling procedures comply with company policies.
- Assist in preparing deposit slips and ensure timely banking of collected funds.
- Update payment records in the system and ensure proper filing of supporting documents.
- Handle customer inquiries related to payments and provide professional service.
- Support the finance team with basic accounting tasks when required.
- Assist in month-end reconciliation activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Report any discrepancies, delays, or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Cashier, Accounts Assistant, or a similar role—preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and cash management procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is an added advantage.
- Excellent numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
